Not sure what was different about this year’s ride compared with the last, but I’ve been having some difficulty in adjusting to my regular schedule.  I want to be on the road, riding to some new destination, meeting new people, smelling the air as I ride through the lush coastal landscape amongst the Redwood forests. What doesn’t help is a book a friend gave me to read that is focused on the entire ecosystem that is held within the branches of the great trees.

Next year’s ride will provide me with more time with the trees and this time I’ll be visiting some of the areas mentioned in the book.
