Over the past 6 years of living in my home I have made various upgrades to reduce my home’s energy use, but the one that seems to have made the most impact are the window shades installed 2 years ago. I was able to reduce my yearly use by 3,000kWh and that’s even after adding a 220 Hot Tub. The hot tub bumped it up about 500kWh, but it’s worth that little increase. After about six years, it was time to get this house repainted. I chose a different color scheme this time (4/option2) from our approved HOA paint guidelines. As stupid as some people think HOAs are, I have lived in neighborhoods with them and prefer to have one.
