Moab to Denver

Moab to Denver

Sunday morning started with an amazingly beautiful ride on scenic byway 128 heading northeast out of Moab, UT. From there I headed east on the interstate to Grand Junction, CO for brunch with a coworker and her family. After brunch I jumped back on interstate 70 east to Denver through some gorgeous country. The rain clouds were moving in, but I was hopeful that I would beat them to Denver. I was not. When I got near Eagle, CO the…

Phoenix to Moab

Phoenix to Moab

Today’s ride began in Phoenix and ended in Moab, UT. I stopped in Flagstaff, AZ to have breakfast with Missy and John who used to be a part of Phoenix Area Rottweiler Rescue and are awesome people! John had to work so Missy and I met at Campus Coffee to catch up while we ate. After that I was back on the road with only one more stop before getting to Moab. Picture of the bike as I left Phoenix:…

Wedding Fun in Indiana

Wedding Fun in Indiana

This past weekend I was able to attend my nephew’s wedding in Culver, IN. Culver is where he went to high school and I now know that there are nice areas in Indiana. The lake near Culver was really beautiful and the high school campus is quite historic. It was founded before 1900. Here are some pictures: [pwaplusphp album=”201306_Justin_Wedding” images_per_page=”20″ image_size=”800″ thumbnail_size=”128″]

2013 Lake Powell Trip

2013 Lake Powell Trip

This May was the second annual Lake Powell trip and it did not disappoint.  The detour around 89 to Page didn’t extend the drive too much, the weather was perfect, the people were as great as always and the lake as beautiful as ever.  We hiked, kayaked, swam, relaxed, napped, played games and sat around the campfire each night reminiscing about the day’s activities, life and the other usual campfire topics. I finally had the opportunity to try out my…

2013 Rocky Point HHH Weekend

2013 Rocky Point HHH Weekend

Every year the El Paso, Tucson and Phoenix HHH groups put on an event in Rocky Point (Puerty Penasco), Mexico and I’ve been down for the last four years.  This year kept with the ongoing tradition of fun, sun and a little exercise.  We did our usual pub crawl on Friday night, run on Saturday (about 6 miles this year) and a hangover run on Sunday out at Cholla Bay.  I took some time off on Sunday to spend with…

Trying out Mizuno again

Trying out Mizuno again

Received these shoes this week to try out. Might be a little too minimal for me, but they have been great for walking around the house.  🙂 —Update 4/7/2013 After a few runs I am really liking these shoes. Very light, good support and the fit like a glove.
