Okay, so as a woman in this new era of independence I would think/hope you would at least offer to help pay for breakfast/lunch or dinner.  This has happened time and time again where I will go out with a person and at the end of the meal she will just sit there and not say anything as I pick up the bill, pull out my wallet, drop my cash/card onto the table and pay for the meal.  I would possibly expect it if at the end of the date if the person didn’t say, “I had a great time, when can we see each other again” or text/email the next day trying to setup the next date.  At least offer, I will normally say, “No, that is fine, I’ll get it” unless I know you make considerably more than me.  I’ll have a lot more respect for you if you offer or even put up a fuss to split the bill.  Times are tight for all of us so let us share the load.  What’s that saying about no free meals?  I guess there are, just get on a dating site and you can eat all you’d like with no regrets. 😛  I need to just let the bill sit next time and see what happens. Ha!  We’d probably sit there for hours. Not that I really care, but it’s getting old fast.
