Like many other Americans we voted yesterday with our hearts and minds hoping that with this vote we would see our country elect someone who has the ability to unite us in a way that hasn’t been seen in many decades.

Last night we witnessed thousands upon thousands of people gathering together around the country and around the world to witness the turning of a page in American history. This new chapter ushers in a leap forward in thinking and closes a chapter that has caused so much pain and suffering in this country and across the world.

This is all wonderful, but the real change doesn’t begin until next year and when it starts we’re all going to have to do our part and be ready to act.

Good luck to you all as we move forward into tough times, but now there is hope and I hope that all of my family and friends who feel down right now will give this team of elected officials the same chance we gave the outgoing president.
