2008: March – April – Going Fast
2008 is flying by…
In March we had family visiting from North Dakota, Indiana and Washington state. We went golfing, to dinner at a local German restaurant and had a super time visiting with each other. It is always so wonderful to spend time with family.
We also had our 2 week GAPP student visiting from Germany. Her name is Stephanie and she is from near Nurnburg in Germany. She is a wonderful person and we had a great time during her visit. You can see more pictures in our “Pix” section and in our Picasa albums.
We also celebrated Denice’s birthday at a local pizza place and then to Extreme Bowling. It was an extremely fun evening and we with Denice another fantastic year.
Our pool was finally finished and you can see pictures of that process from our “Albums” section.
In April we visited San Diego with our visiting “daughter” Andy who was our full year student two years ago. She is here from Neiderau, Germany and is staying for two weeks. Kisha went to San Diego for work and I drove Andy and Naomi out from Phoenix. Rick, David and Kema drove down from Los Angeles and we all had a great time in the San Diego area.
Our nephew Justin joined the Marine’s last year (WTF?) and is now stationed at Camp Pendleton which is between San Diego and Los Angeles. It was very nice to see him again and we wish him the best in this adventure. Not a good time to be gung-ho about military service. We hope for complete troop withdrawals from both Iraq and Afghanistan and pray for the world to forgive our “leaders” decisions to invade Iraq. What a mess they’ve gotten us into…anyway, we want him safe and stateside.
Well, off to May which will include a birthday for Darin and Naomi, plus lots of other fun.
Take care…
