Not really a problem, just a part of the home’s infrastructure that is interesting to me.

I have an old Crane boiler from approximately 1945 that is still working well. I had Banner Heating (one of two companies that still support these old boilers in the area) come up to walk me through the use/functionality. I also asked them if I should replace it and their response was that I’m only heating water and that as long as this unit is working, I should not replace it.

However, the more I’ve been reading lately it seems that a newer boiler would decrease natural gas use. Thoughts?
