2009: September
September still means summer in Phoenix so our Luau run (hash) was definitely a hot run. It was a fun day full of friends, running, singing, beer pong (and winning the championship with my pong-partner), playing chicken in the pool, eating what non-meat items were available and consuming more than one beer. The hang-over run on Sunday morning did not entice as many hashers as Saturday’s, but it was a fun little run.
At the beginning of the month Karen and I went to see “Rent” the musical at the “Nearly Naked Theatre” in downtown Phoenix. It was a very good performance and I’m so glad that Karen asked me to go with her.
This past weekend (19th-20th) we had a run out in Queen Creek that turned into a nice pool party and some movie watching. I slept in both days and am just catching up on tasks around the house. I still have not completed unpacking from camping and just don’t feel like doing it.
The end of September brings a wedding for my cousin Kathy and that is going to such a wonderful day and the opportunity to see family I haven’t seen in years.
UPDATE: The wedding of Jason and Kathy was so much fun! It was so enjoyable to spend time with all of my Klein relatives and catch up a bit with my Grandma Meier. She is the best! I slept in the basement which made me go into some sort of hibernation mode and I think I caught up on a month’s sleep in those few days. I’ve posted pictures in Picasa and am putting together a DVD for Kathy and Jason from all of the pictures people have sent to me. I hope it turns out well.
I’m now running Snow Leopard on my Mac and it is a great upgrade! The system is running extremely well and it freed up quite a bit of space on my drive through it’s impressive use of compression. Great job Apple!
Well, more to come as this year is quickly drawing to a close, but there is still plenty of time for new adventures.
Onward.
