2009: March
This has been a beautiful winter in AZ with plenty of outdoor activities to keep me busy and out of trouble. I’ve been hiking and biking a few times per week either around the city or east of Phoenix in the mountains. There are so many hiking and biking clubs available through meetup.com that if a person wanted to do something almost every day they could.
In February my parents visited for over three weeks and that was wonderful having them here. It was so nice to have great food and the parents around for an extended period of time. Terry and Mary also took a flight down from WA to hang out for a while too.
At the end of February I took a flight to Spokane to spend a few days with my cousins Brian, Nami and their son Toby, cousin Kevin and Terry & Mary. The weather was nice and I had a wonderful few days doing nothing at all except reading, relaxing, playing with Toby and hanging out with my family. Spokane is a nice city and reminds me of Rapid City a bit. They even have a Taco John’s!
Into March and the days are getting longer and warmer. The weeks have been going by quickly with hikes, bikes and runs with the various groups and I’m feeling better about life in general. There are some great people out there and I’m glad to be meeting so many.
I don’t really have any plans other than working and all the other stuff. The dogs are doing well and although Isabella is getting older and she’s getting stiffer from arthritis she’s still a fun girl who loves to run and play with Mooch. Mooch is doing great and is about ready for his summer haircut.
If you are planning on visiting the Phoenix area and do not have little kids I have room for a few people.
I wish you all the best.
